| Dr. Njideka N.Olatunde, a recognized leader and pioneer of reflexology in the metro area, has been invited to teach reflexology to medical and healthcare professionals at the Bionatural 2000 Health and Wellness Congress in Havana Cuba.The conference will be attended by medical professionals from around the world. The focus of the conference will be to explore current research, education, and medical treatments. A featured highlight will be to explore the Afro Cuban healing traditions and its integration with conventional medicine. Dr. Olatunde has been a promoter of reflexology as a wellness alternative for many years. Her voice is now being heard. Reflexology is widely accepted and practices in Europe, Asia, Africa, Caribbean, Australia, and Latin America. Recently Dr. Olatunde had the opportunity to travel to China and Cuba as America's reflexology representative at wellness conferences on integrating eastern healing practices with western medicine. While in China she had the opportunity to work side by side with Chinese medical doctors sharing reflexology techniques. When asked about the opportunity to teach doctors and nurses from around the world reflexology, Dr. Olatunde says, "I am honored and humbled at the thought to have the opportunity to share information about the healing power of touch through reflexology". |
