| MESSAGE FROM NJIDEKA... | ||||||||
| A whole year has past and its been quite awhile since we've had the opportunity to share information with each other. When I look back on this year I can say 2000 was the year of "spreading my wings". I did a lot of traveling that centered around me teaching, lecturing and promoting reflexology nationally and internationally. My travels this year took me to Cuba twice to represent America and Reflexology at medical and healthcare conferences in Holguin and Havana. Last year I had the opportunity to travel to China as America's delegate representing Naturopathic Medicine and Reflexology. This trip open the door for me to become Dr. Chen Yi Lin's, who is president of the Chinese Society of Reflexology, US Reflexology Representative. My responsibility has been to meet with reflexology educators and organizations to discuss establishing an international reflexology cultural exchange program with China. On The National Scene.... I have been traveling as a guest lecturer and trainer at several health and wellness conferences across the country. the topics I have been speaking on have been on the Integration of Complementary/Alternative Medicine with Conventional Medicine and my favorite topic Reflexology. On The Home Front.... FOH had its 1st successful fundraising campaign to raise funds for the FOH Cathy L. Hughes Youth Scholarship Program. We raised funds needed to provide reflexology scholarships to 7 young people ages 12 to 16. |
FOH is now online www.focusonhealing.com. Much Thanks and Praise goes out to our webmaster, Donya Douglas, who brought me into the technology of the 21st century without a lot of pain. Be sure to check us out. Many of you know that I have always been a service provider. I do reflexology and share information. I have spent this whole year studying and researching products that I feel will be beneficial, affordable and can produce stated results. I also needed to find products that could compliment and enhance my Reflexology and Naturopathic services. I am proud to announce that FOH will now carry Products, Aromatherapy BodySense Health Products, and Body Balance Diagnostic Testing Kits. I have personally used all these products and will now use them in my practice and recommend their use to my clients. As you can see, I have been busy and it has all been to improve myself as a practitioner so I can provide my clients with the best and most current techniques and products available in my field of expertise. The fact that in a few weeks is the beginning of, a new year, the real new millennium, and the official beginning of the Age of Aquarius, I close with this message, let 2001 be the year that Health and Healing take Center Stage in your Life. Become a devout advocate for Preventive Healthcare and Wellness for yourself, family and friends. Begin 2001 on a mission to see, feel, and honor your body as the Temple it was created to be..... | FOH H.E.L.P. Youth Training Program has scholarships for 7 youth ages 10 to 16 to be trained in reflexology and seated massage. FOH will award the FOH Cathy L. Hughes Youth Scholarship to 7 youth in each age group for the best written essay titled What does it mean to be healthy and how do you maintain it? The winning essay will appear on our web page and newsletters. Essay deadline date is February 28, 2001. The scholarship winners will be announced on March 19, 2001 and the scholarships will be announced at our annual fundraising event on April 20, 2001. |
